The Tyrrosian College of Glamour was a bard college created by followers of Zinrora Tyrros. It was founded in 27 UE in the city of Silvera, and later expanded to have several satellite campuses all around the world.

History

The Tyrrosians founded their college following the rise of the legendary Zinrora Tyrros. Zinrora was a graduate of the Deliria College of Glamour in Tengun Tower. However, seeing the abuse of the bardic arts by the notorious Luminary, fellow Glamour bard Sabine Phannara, Zinrora made certain promises and choices in her pursuit of art. Enchantment magic, in particular, was almost anathema to Zinrora's love of liberty and emphasis on consent. Therefore, the Tyrrosians who followed in her footsteps made a point to shun many of the tenets of the Deliria College.

This schism within Glamour bards was not without incident. Several members of the Deliria College, including Grandmaster Melguen Crystalridge of Ixien, wrote a formal protest and sanction of the dissenting Tyrrosians. For bards, this was as close to a declaration of war as one could get. Violence between bardic colleges was rare in general, but the rift between Delirians and Tyrrosians was a bit less "spirited rivalry" and a bit more "open enmity".

Tenets of the College

Unlike the Deliria College, the Tyrrosian College policed its members with scrutiny. If any bard graduate wearing Tyrrosian marks was found abusing the trust or, worst of all, consent of another sentient individual, they could be subject to discipline, expulsion, or even imprisonment under Bardic law.

Enchantment magic was considered extremely dangerous by the College, on par with necromancy. Any student wishing to explore Enchantment was heavily watched. Though the school of Enchantment was not outlawed in the Tyrrosian College, it was viewed with the utmost concern and caution. This de-emphasis on the manipulation of the minds of others was an obvious break with the Deliria College. Some scholars believed that this made the Tyrrosian College weaker, as they would usually cut themselves off from an entire avenue of Bardic magic. However, others thought that the Tyrrosians were "better bards" than graduates from Deliria, as the same de-emphasis on magic allowed more time and study of vocal performance, stage presence, and speech.
