Skyquake

A skyquake was a phenomenon in which a sudden release of arcane energy in the Weave caused temporary ruptures in magic, usually in Echelon's troposphere. Skyquakes ranged in intensity from vibrating tremors to violent shatterings of magic strong enough to wreak destruction on organic and inorganic matter.

The spell Mordenkainen named shatter was said to be a form of controlling energies similar to a skyquake into a localized area.
