Skald was the name of a 199 ME play by Velgassi playwright Eccelson Harper. It was a drama written in Harper's twilight years, just before the formation of the Harper College of Lore.

Synopsis

The play follows the trials, triumphs, and sorrows of an unnamed bard in a fictional frozen land far to the north. This bard, the titular and genderless Skald, journeys throughout the White Wastes, writing down everything they see, commenting to themselves (and the audience) on everything from mortal nature to the afterlife. The play ends tragically, with the Skald losing all they have written down in a tavern fire.
