Valenrode

Valenrode was a major seaport city on the continent of Almantha. It served as one of the primary ports of call for the Glavian Empire during its height. With a population approaching half a million people at the beginning of the Epoch of Undine, it was the third-largest city on Echelon's surface (after Lathander's Landing and Trigonon).

Valenrode was situated between the mouth of the Fellharbor Sound and Lake Vanguard.

History

Archaeological excavations suggested that humans, elves, and dwarves had inhabited the Valenrode region for thousands of years. Gith and tabaxi did not have a significant presence on Almantha, including in Valenrode, at least until the end of the Dark Age. Some scholars believed that baronies and fiefdoms appeared on the supercontinent in the region that would later house Valenrode; these small nations were said to be formed in opposition to the rise of the human empire of Bael Turath.
