Weave

The Weave was both a conduit for, and the source of, arcane magic on the Material Plane. It was the way in which mortals accessed magic, and was notably difficult to characterize. Scholars throughout Echelon's history attempted to classify the causes, effects, and nature of the Weave, often using metaphors (such as "fabric" or "field") to describe it.
