Heart of Moradin

The Heart of Moradin was the name given to a residuum-infused astral diamond. It was the size of a full-grown dwarf and was said to weigh a thousand pounds.

The Heart was first uncovered in a mining expedition in Echelon's Spine by the Arkul Clan in the Ancient World. The Heart became a source of power for dwarven clerics until it was moved to Galvanheim, and then later to Kodonholm.

The stone was used as a focus for the spell Lionni's divine shield, which protected the city from the Null during the Dark Age. It was ultimately destroyed in 797 DA by the arcane pressures of holding back the Null.
