Aether

The aether, also known as aetherwave, was a frequency of arcane energy that persisted in and around the continent of Antipode. It was created as a result of the arrival and coalescence of magical forces from the Feywild and Inner Planes during the Sundering, and was a phenomenon unique to the region.

In aether communication, aetherwaves were used to carry information across space from a transmitter to a receiver, by magically modulating an aetherwave signal. This was used in northern Antipode to create a communication and entertainment network, simply known as "the aether", which became a cultural cornerstone of many societies across the continent.
