Bardic Immunity

Bardic Immunity was a principle of noninterference designed by the Harpers to preserve historical events without "contamination" by the college. It was also a condition cited by many bards of the college, cementing their identities as recorders and storytellers (rather than influencers) of history.

Punishments for breaking the rule of Bardic Immunity were severe, as the college's reputation as a neutral entity was seen as crucial to the success of its mission. The Saga Nova College of Valor was sometimes employed to hunt down and imprison rulebreakers. Occasionally, the Deliria College of Glamour was also hired to covertly (or explicitly) discredit and disparage the offender, effectively ruining them for life.
