Grand Design

The Grand Design of Emperor Rothwaite XIV was a plan to establish the Velgassi Empire as the dominant force in the eastern Mainland. It was a massive undertaking, ushering in an age of imperialistic expansion for the nation and, in the eyes of many, cementing Velgassi as a threat to smaller sovereign nations. The plan was not without its critics from within the Empire as well; the Grand Design was cited as the main reason for the rebellion of Odiss Pennant and the establishment of his rival nation.
