Yggdrasil, or the World Tree, was a site of magical power on the planet Echelon. It existed as part of the southwestern region of the supercontinent before the Dawn War, and was said to be one of the points of entry between the Material Plane and the Outer Planes. Many peoples would pilgrimage to the World Tree for a wide variety of reasons.
