Vyetka was a major city in the northeastern Nentir Vale. It served as the seat of government of the Velgassi Empire for over a thousand years. It was founded sometime around 500 BME, and was reduced to ruins in the mid-Dark Age, eventually being totally abandoned before the beginning of the Light Age.
