The Dawn War was a significant, worldwide conflict between the forces of good and evil. It was the last direct conflict between the Celestials and the Prime Evil. The Dawn War began when the zarum rebelled against the gods and joined forces with the tieflings of Bael Turath to control Echelon.

In the Median Timeline, it ended with the defeat of the Unholy Archon atop the floating Dawning Isle. In the Red Timeline, it ended with the defeat of the Grand Cross in the Temple of Numbers.
