Outer Planes

The "Outer Planes" was the collective name for planes of existence beyond the Inner Planes. They were the home planes of deities, powerful creatures and beings, and various afterlives of mortals from the Material Plane.

There were 16 Outer Planes, with 7 being colloquially known as the Seven Heavens or the Upper Planes:

• Elysium
• Mount Celestia
• Ysgard
• The Beastlands
• Limbo
• The twin paradises of Bytopia:
  • Arborea
  • Arcadia

The Outer Planes also included the nine planes of the Hells:

• Acheron
• Avernus
• Baator
• Carceri
• Dis
• Gehenna
• Hades
• Minauros
• Pandemonium
