Dis

The second layer of the Nine Hells, Dis, was an Outer Plane that was most notable for the Black City of Dis. The entire city was made of red-hot iron which exuded smoky columns that constantly shrouded the city in smog.

In the Black City, trade between denizens of the planes was common. All manner of markets and bazaars were laid out in the sprawling city, attracting creatures with legendary treasures and pleasures of the flesh for exorbitant prices. A great prison tower rose from the center of the city, looming over even the jagged mountains surrounding the city. The tower "reformed" travelers by constantly tempting them into evil acts, forfeiting their souls and becoming eternally damned citizens of the city.
