Asgorath

Asgorath was believed to be a primeval deity, non-binary progenitor of dragons, and "parent" to the gods Bahamut and Tiamat.

Existence of Asgorath

It was not known if Asgorath ever really existed- if they were a gnostic part of dragon lore, a magical story weaved in the minds of mortals, or just a fairy tale perpetuated by non-dragons. Dragons did not speak of Asgorath with outsiders, and only confirmed knowledge of them when under extreme duress. Both metallic and chromatic dragons spoke only of Bahamut and Tiamat as their progenitors. This juxtaposition made for conflicting theories about Asgorath, with no truth ever coming to mortal light.
