The shadar-kai were a race of humanoids that dwelled primarily in the Shadowfell. They were theorized to have once been elves or zarum, or perhaps some combination of the two, which migrated to (or became trapped in) the Shadowfell. Shadar-kai were characterized by pointed ears akin to high elves, skin color approaching albinism, and cold, almond-shaped eyes like the githzerai or githyanki.
