The Rebirth

The Rebirth was an event foretold and worked toward by the Cult of Vecna throughout Echelon's Middle Era. More often than not, it was a vague reference to a future date wherein all life on the planet had succumbed to undeath, becoming "born again" in Vecna's image. Some measure of the Rebirth was achieved when Vecna bypassed the Celestial seal on the Material Plane, sparking the Ultima War.
