Altaya's Loop

Altaya's Loop was a complex, paradoxical sequence of events that occurred as a result of the arch-sorceress Kithanya Maruk's error in using chronomancy to change her past. It began with Kithanya Maruk's appearance in the Blue Timeline as a 2-year-old and ended 20 years later with the defeat of Zijil the Prime in the Temporal Plane.

Results of the Loop

Maruk's appearance prior to the end of the Millennial Spell allowed magic to seep out of her and back into the ley lines of Echelon, inviting the destruction of the Sovereign Seven by Zijil's own doing back at the original point of casting. Maruk's transformation during the Loop into the elf princess Yuan Altaya helped cause the backfire, and as a result, allowed Altaya to become Exarch of the Feywild.
